BLUES EARN SIX PODIUM FINISHES AT HEAD OF THE TRENT

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues rowing team competed in Peterborough, Ont., at the 2024 Head of the Trent regatta on Saturday, October 5.
 
Women's Results
 
Toronto's women earned four podium finishes on the day. Leading the way was Roksolana Nazar, who placed second in the women's single.
 
The women's lightweight coxed four of Dayun Kong, Guinevere Reaume, Elena Eberhardt and Sophie Corradini, and cox Katharine Myler finished third overall, while Eberhardt and Corradini also earned a third-place finish in the women's lightweight double.
 
The women's eight boat of Bianca Hill, Maia Stelfox, Dahlia Rostom, Jane Paterson, Fortune David, Vanessa Lin, Mia Penney and Sarah Armstrong earned bronze as well. Rounding out the top 5 finishes were Hill and Stelfox, who placed fifth in the women's double.
 
Men's Results
 
Devansh Singhi and Orlando Weekes claimed a second-place finish in the men's university JV double. Jack Bon and Noah Campbell also finished second in the men's double.
 
Campbell placed fourth in the men's single, while Bon, Campbell, Kamal Elboghdadi, Sebastien Psarianos, Singhi, Navraj Brar, Weekes, Kalan Couch and cox Jack Edwards placed fourth in the men's eight.
 
Bon, Psarianos, Elboghdadi, Couch and Edwards also finished fifth in the men's coxed four.

In addition, a highlight of the day was two gold-medal finishes from the men's and women's novice eight crews. 
 
The Blues are back in action on Saturday, October 12 when they head to St. Catharines, Ont., for the Brock Invitational.
