BLUES TOP MARAUDERS ON HOME FIELD

Graham Dicken and Alexander May each scored three goals in leading the University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's lacrosse team to a 9-7 victory over the McMaster Marauders on Sunday night at Varsity Stadium.

Justin Ranger, Chrstopher McWatt and Charlie Vaslakakos each scored once in the win.

Down 2-1 after the first quarter, the Blues scored three unanswered goals in the second to take a 4-2 lead at halftime. McMaster brought the game back within one early in the third, but the Blues notched another three in a row to lead 7-3 heading into the final frame.

The two teams went back and forth and Toronto was up 9-5 with three minutes to go. McMaster added two late goals but it was too little, too late as the Blues came away with their third win of the season.

Christopher Williams made 21 saves in the win.

The Blues return to the field on Thursday, October 10 when they travel to London, Ont., to take on the Western Mustangs at 7 p.m.
