In a tightly contested match, the University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's volleyball team narrowly fell to the McMaster Marauders 3-0 on Saturday (Oct. 26) at Goldring Centre.
Despite showing resiliency in a second match with the Marauders in as many days, the Blues were outlasted by McMaster, who clinched the match with set scores of 25-18, 25-20, 27-25.

Toronto's fourth-year outside hitter Julia Murmann delivered a strong performance, leading the team with 14 kills, while adding six digs. Fellow outside hitter Giulia Chimilovski contributed seven kills, while setter Robin Melnick facilitated the offense with 29 assists, keeping the Blues competitive throughout the match.

Toronto's defense held steady, with libero Delaney Watson notching 11 digs. The Blues recorded a total of 45 digs and two blocks, showcasing their defensive tenacity.
However, McMaster's offense was led by Sullie Sundara and Olivia Julien, who combined for 21Â of the Marauders 36 total kills in the three set victory. Victoria Potvin was also critical in the McMaster win defensively, helping to stifle the Blues attack with a game-high 14 digs.
