For the second time this week, the University of Toronto Varsity Blues field hockey team defeated the York Lions in a battle of the top two teams in the East. The Blues came away with a 1-0 victory on Sunday afternoon (Oct. 13) at York's Alumni Stadium.
 
Fourth-year forward Ziara Scaringi opened the scoring six minutes into the contest, notching her second goal of the season.

Deepi Gill earned the shutout, including a spectacular penalty stroke save in the third quarter.

The Blues wrap up their regular season with two games against the McGill Martlets next weekend (Oct. 19-20) at Back Campus Fields.
