The first half saw several opportunities for Toronto, but it wasn't until the second half that the floodgates opened. At the 59:19 mark, Andrea Schifano broke the deadlock with a clinical finish, assisted by Kingsley Belele. This goal, Schifano's sixth of the season, set the tone for Toronto's offensive surge.

Just eight minutes later, Ife Adenuga added to the scoreline with an unassisted goal, his first of the season. The Blues weren't finished yet—at the 69:20 mark, Russell Stewart found the back of the net, assisted by Adenuga, making it 3-0.
