The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's basketball team finished their weekend with a 94-83 victory over the Brock Badgers at the Goldring Centre Kimel Family Field House on Saturday (Jan. 6) night.
It was a strong start for the Blues, who held the lead for the majority of the first half. With the help of 23 points from fifth-year guard Callum Baker, the blue and white left the first half with an eight-point lead (48-40).
Brock battled hard in the second half, briefly cutting into the Blues lead in the third quarter, but the Blues would come out victorious after a 25-point performance in the fourth quarter to seal the deal.
It was another standout performance from Baker who finished with a game-high 31 points. Fellow guard Nadav Sahar put up a career-high 26 points for the Blues.
For the Badgers, it was guard Andrew Mckenna who led the way, recording 21 points in his 30 minutes of game time.
Up next, the Blues face off against the Western Mustangs on Friday, January 12 in London, Ont. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m., with the game being streamed online at oua.tv.
