The Varsity Blues women's soccer team shutout the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks 1-0 on Thursday (Sept. 28) afternoon at Vaso's Field. 
 
Following a back-and-forth opening half, third-year forward Anne Yeomans scored what would be the game-winning goal for the Blues in the 53^rd minute. The Calgary native finished the game with two shots on goal. 

On the other end of the pitch, competing in her first game for the Blues, first-year goalkeeper Maria Godoy-Atrash recorded her first career clean sheet registering two saves en route to the Blues second win in a row.
 
The Blues return home to welcome the Queen's Gales to Varsity Stadium on Sunday, October 1. Kick-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. Tickets for the contest are available at varsityblues.ca/tickets, while the home game will also be streamed live and on-demand via oua.tv.
