The Varsity Blues women's soccer team won 4-1 against the Trent Excalibur on Sunday (Sept. 24) afternoon at Varsity Stadium.
Blues midfielder Hannah Anderson opened the scoring for Toronto in the 34
th minute.
U of T was led by defender Hannah Chown, who finished the game with four shots and converted twice from the penalty spot. Forward Natasha Budisa also had a tremendous performance for the Blues recording a goal and an assist.
Trent's lone goal was scored by midfielder Abbie Dunlop.
Rookie goalie Atlas Young recorded their first win of the season with four saves throughout the 90 minutes.
The Blues return home to face-off against the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks at Vaso's Field on Thursday, September 28. Kick-off is scheduled for 4:15 p.m. Tickets for the contest are available at
