BLUES FACE OFF AGAINST OTTAWA GEE-GEES

The Blues men's and women's tennis team faced off against the Ottawa Gee-Gees on Sunday (Sept. 24) afternoon at the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus.  

The women's tennis team beat the Gee-Gees 6-1. The Blues came out strong sweeping the Gee-Gees in all three double matches, before going on to win six of seven singles matches, including decisive victories for Janet Pham and Carmen Nahat in the four and five-slot for Toronto.

It was another strong showing for the men's tennis team taking down the Gee-Gees 6-1. The pairs of Rassam Yazdi and Michael Chu, and Charles Zheng and William Xi picked up U of T's two doubles victories. The Blues would go on to take six of seven singles games, which saw victories from Arden Daniello, Zack Wilson and Raghav Sundararaman, as well as William Xi and Nathan Li in the five and six-slot.

The win for the Blues comes on the team's alumni day, held in honour of former OUA champions Natalie Desouza (1984), Jill Eagleson (1984) and Rob Schmidt (2008). 
 
Next up, the Blues play host to McGill University on October 1 at the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus.
