The Varsity Blues men's soccer team fell 1-0 to the TMU Bold on Saturday (Sept. 16) evening at Downsview Park.
 
Both teams battled hard through the first half, trading chances throughout, but were unable to get past Blues goalie, Alex Lin, and Bold goalie, Dante Ferraro. 
 
Andrea Schifano led the way for the Blues tallying up a game-high four shots, all being on target. 
 
TMU broke the deadlock midway through the second half with a goal from Chris Campoli. U of T would continue to push hard through the remainder of the second half, but were unable squeak one past Ferraro.
 
The Blues will return to the pitch on Sunday, September 24, when they will face-off with Trent University at Varsity Stadium. Kick-off is scheduled for 3:15 p.m. Tickets for the contest are available at varsityblues.ca/tickets.
