Opening their Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association (CUFLA) regular season on the road, the University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's lacrosse team defeated the Laurentian Voyageurs 13-3 in Sudbury on Sunday (Sept. 10) afternoon.
The Blues were firing on all cylinders as they quickly built up a 6-1 lead by the halftime break. Toronto ended the road victory with eight different players registering a goal, while also seeing 11 of their 13 total goals include an assist.
Leading the charge was third-year middie Christophe McWatt and first-year attack Daniel Clarke, who each tallied two goals and an assist in the win. The Blue and White also received a strong performance on the defensive end of the field from third-year long stick middie Henry Klinck.
Following the CUFLA season opener on the road, Toronto next returns to Varsity Stadium for three consecutive home games, beginning with a showdown versus the Brock Badgers on Saturday, Sept. 16. Tickets for U of T men's lacrosse home matches can be purchased at
