BLUES WIN BIG IN SUDBURY

Opening their Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association (CUFLA) regular season on the road, the University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's lacrosse team defeated the Laurentian Voyageurs 13-3 in Sudbury on Sunday (Sept. 10) afternoon.

The Blues were firing on all cylinders as they quickly built up a 6-1 lead by the halftime break. Toronto ended the road victory with eight different players registering a goal, while also seeing 11 of their 13 total goals include an assist.

Leading the charge was third-year middie Christophe McWatt and first-year attack Daniel Clarke, who each tallied two goals and an assist in the win. The Blue and White also received a strong performance on the defensive end of the field from third-year long stick middie Henry Klinck.

Following the CUFLA season opener on the road, Toronto next returns to Varsity Stadium for three consecutive home games, beginning with a showdown versus the Brock Badgers on Saturday, Sept. 16. Tickets for U of T men's lacrosse home matches can be purchased at varsityblues.ca/tickets, with all University of Toronto students being eligible to receive one free ticket for each and every home game online.
