On Wednesday (Oct 25) night the University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's water polo team traveled to McMaster in a matchup that proved no contest for the Blues as they recorded their largest margin of victory this season, winning 31-2 over the Marauders.
Â
The Blues started the match on fire scoring seven goals in just the first period of the play. The rest of the game proved to be an offensive clinic for Toronto, including an impressive performance from senior attacker Patrick Conn who registered a game-high eight goals.
Â
The defence for the Blues also proved to be lockdown once again with no goals conceded until the fourth quarter. Standout second-year goalie Miguel Garcia Alonso continued his impressive form with multiple saves.
Â
The Blues improved their OUA record to 5-0 on the season and now look ahead to the upcoming Queens Invitational which will see them face three more OUA opponents in Ottawa, Carleton and Queen's. Action in the pool begins on Saturday (Nov. 4) afternoon versus the Gee-Gees.
