The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's soccer team shutout the Carleton Ravens 1-0 in the first round of the OUA playoffs on Wednesday (Oct. 25) night in Ottawa, Ont.
With the win, the Blues quickly return to action on Saturday, October 28 when they face off against the No. 1 nationally ranked Ottawa Gee-Gees in the OUA quarter-finals in Ottawa, Ont. Kick-off is set for 12 p.m. The game will be streamed live and on-demand via

In the first half, the Blues came out strong on both ends of the pitch. In the 16
th minute, forward Anne Yeomans added her fifth goal of the season to put Toronto in the lead.
The Blues continued their strong play into the second half, keeping control of the game and holding the Ravens off the scoresheet.
With the win, Blues rookie goalie Maria Godoy-Atrash recorded her fourth shutout of the year. The Mississauga, Ont. native made an astounding nine saves in the Blues victory over the Ravens.
