The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's lacrosse team fell 9-1 in their season finale versus the Brock Badgers on Saturday (Oct. 21) night in St. Catharines.
Facing off against stiff competition in the CUFLA West division opponent, the Blues were able to limit the Badgers in the opening half, trailing just 3-0 at the break. U of T saw exceptional defensive play from goalie Sam Lehman and defender Michael Lamacchia.
Following the intermission, Toronto were able to find the back of the net via a marker from Brenen Lavoie and cut the game to 3-1 early in the third quarter.
However, spurred on by the home crowd in St. Catharines, Brock went on to tally six unanswered goals to secure to victory.
A tough 2023 campaign for the Blues, Toronto finished the regular season seventh in the CUFLA West division with a 1-9Â record.
