Opening the final weekend of the CUFLA regular season on the road, the University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's lacrosse team fell 11-5 to the Western Mustangs on Friday (Oct. 20) night in London.
Facing stiff competition in the undefeated Mustangs, the Blues were able to put up a good fight, led by a five-goal performance from first-year attack Daniel Clarke. The freshman standout has tallied a team-leading 11 goals through nine games this season.
Toronto also received a strong performance from first-year goalie Benjamin Rishikof who was in tough facing a Mustangs offence which has recorded the second most goals in the CUFLA West division this season.
U of T will conclude their regular season schedule tomorrow night back on the road in St. Catharines. The regular season finale versus the Brock Badgers is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. start time.
