The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's basketball team won against the Laval Rouge et Or by a score of 89-81 in their exhibition game at the Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport on Friday (Oct. 13) night.
It was another strong shooting night for the Blue and White, shooting 50 percent from the field and 42 percent from behind the arc.Â
The Blues were led by Callum Baker, who added 24 points, eight rebounds and two assists. Following closely behind, Dane Quest scored 21 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Quest shot four-of-six from behind the arc in the Blues victory.Â
Laval was led by Sidney Lacombe who finished the game with a game-high 25 points and four rebounds. Ousmane Diwara recorded 22 points and six rebounds on the night.Â
The Blues will hit the road to participate in the McGill Basketball Classic in Montreal, Que., from October 20 to 22. Toronto opens the tournament against UBC Okanagan on Friday, October 20 at 4 p.m.
