The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's basketball team fell to Bishop's University 84-42 in an exhibition game on Friday (Sept. 30) evening.
HOW IT HAPPENED: After the first, the Blues trailed the Gaiters 19-11. Through the second quarter, Bishop's would extend their lead (51-19). The Gaiters continued to lead after the third 63-28, ultimately holding on to beat the Blues 84-42.
The Blues were led by forward Jada Poon Tip, who totalled 14 points and two rebounds.
Second-year forward Sabrina Nero finished the game with nine points and nine rebounds. Third-year forward Thuraya Abdul Hamid put up eight points and six rebounds, while shooting four of seven from the field.
UP NEXT: The Blues take on the Waterloo Warriors in an exhibition game on Friday, November 5 in Waterloo. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
