STRONG DEFENCE LIFTS BLUES OVER OTTAWA

A Lindsay Bosveld goal lead the Varsity Blues women's soccer team to a 1-0 win over the Ottawa Gee-Gee's on Sunday afternoon (Sept. 11) in Ottawa, Ont.
 
The win over Ottawa gives the Blues a 2-0-1 record on the season. 
 
Bosveld, the fourth-year striker, scored the Blues lone goal in the 29th minute. The Blues would finish the game with three shots, two being on target. Miranda Badovinac had the other shot. 
 
Goalie Maddy Nardin finished with her second clean sheet of the season. She faced against eight shots.

The Gee-Gee's finished the game with 29 shots. Gee-Gee's forward Angelina Gendreau had a team-high six shots, with one on target. 
 
The Varsity Blues return to action Saturday, September 17 when they faceoff against the Trent Excalibur at Varsity Stadium. Kick off is scheduled for 1 p.m.
