The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's basketball team defeated the Nipissing Lakers 88-67 in their first win of the season on Friday, February 11 at Goldring Centre.

TORONTO STATS: The Blues lead early finishing the first-quarter up 23-14 and ending the half up 45-33. Continuing their dominance through the third and fourth quarters, the Blues ended the night up 88-67 over the Lakers.
The Blues were anchored by fourth-year guard Evan Shadkami. The Toronto native drained 5 three-pointers and went 5-for-5 from the free throw line to lead the Blues with 24-points on the night.

Third-year standouts Inaki Alvarez and Steven Rwahwire had 19-points and 14-points, respectively, while second-year guard Anthony Torelli tallied 9-points.
Second-year forward Anthony Daudu lead the Blues with 9 rebounds in the win.
