The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's basketball team beat the Laurentian Voyageurs 82-70 on Saturday (Nov. 26) night in Sudbury, Ont.
With the win, the Blues win their seventh straight game. They sit first in the OUA central division with a 7-1 record.
HOW IT HAPPENED: The Blues led the way in the first quarter, coming out with a 22-18 lead. Despite a back-and-forth second quarter, the Blues would come out the lead (42-37). The Blues' offence was key in the second half, separating them from the Voyageurs in the third quarter (60-54) and ultimately leading them to victory (82-70).
Third-year guard Callum Baker led the way for the Blues with a 22-point performance, along with six rebounds and two assists. First-year forward Ryan Rudnick had a 17-point game for the Blues in their win.
The Lancers were led by Caillou Lacroix who recorded a double-double, with 20 points and 10 rebounds.
UP NEXT: The Varsity Blues return to action Friday, December 2 when they face off against Ontario Tech. Tip off is set for 8:00 p.m.
