The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's soccer team lost to the TMU Bold 1-0 on Saturday (Oct. 8) afternoon at Varsity Stadium.

After this game, the Blues hold a 4-3-3 record with 15 points. They now sit fourth in the OUA East division with two games to play.Â

HOW IT HAPPENED: After a back and forth first half, the Blues and TMU were held scoreless with important saves coming from Blues goalkeeper Ben Grondin and TMU goalkeeper Ali Ghazanfari. Grondin finished the game with six saves.Â

TMU scored the lone goal of the game when Justin Santos scored from the penalty spot in the 90
th minute.Â

UP NEXT:Â The Varsity Blues return to action Saturday, October 12th when they faceoff against Laurentian University in Sudbury. Kick off is scheduled for 3:15 p.m.
