BLUES FINISH REGULAR SEASON WITH WIN OVER MCMASTER

The Varsity Blues men's lacrosse team beat the McMaster Marauders 10-6 on Friday (Oct. 21) night in Hamilton, Ont.
 
With the win, the Blues finish the 2022 CUFLA season with a 5-5 record.  
 
HOW IT HAPPENED: The Blues dominated the first quarter scoring three goals. Alex Acosta opened the scoring four minutes into the first quarter. George Browne added the Blues second goal halfway through the period. Davis Bottomley finished the scoring in the first with a goal 12 minutes in. 
 
In the second quarter, the Blues opened the scoring with a goal from Dylan Doucette. George Browne would add his second of the game 10 minutes into the quarter. Davis Bottomley would complete his hat-trick with two goals in the second quarter. Cole Elford and Nick Serniuck added two goals for the Marauders. 
 
The Marauders opened the third quarter with a goal from Mitchell Pellarin. Aidan Guld and Bottomley added goals for the Blues in the third quarter. Guld would add his second goal of the game on the powerplay to start the fourth quarter. McMaster would finish the scoring in this game with a goal from Brian Huyghe and two goals from Mitchell Pellarin, completing his hat-trick. 
 
UP NEXT: The Blues play next on Saturday October 29 when they face off against the Brock Badgers in the CUFLA Playoff. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
