This past weekend the Varsity Blues hosted a variety of teams from Canada and the United States in the U of T Fall Classic tournament at the Athletic Centre.
On Friday, the Blues had the opportunity to play Army-West Point for the first time since 2019. In the match, the Blues were able to build upon an early lead and win the game 23-1.
Early Saturday afternoon, the Blues then faced off against Capital Wave, a club team from Ottawa, Ont. Dominating the second half, the Blues were able to come away with a 16-8 victory.
Later that same day, U of T faced McMaster in their first OUA game of the year. With the help of new recruits Marco Ricci and Edoardo Pavanello, the Blues got the job
done, and came away with a 25-1 victory.
Sunday morning marked the last game of the home tournament for our Blues. In a game against Cleveland that went much like the others before, U of T went on to win 19-1.
