The Toronto Varsity Blues got themselves back into the win column Sunday night at Varsity Stadium.

Playing host to the McMaster Marauders, the Blues picked up their third win of the season with an 8-5 win.

HOW IT HAPPENED: The Blues jumped out to an early 1-0 lead on a goal from Dylan Doucette. After McMaster replied with a pair of goals, the Blues went on a run. Scoring four straight times, Toronto jumped out to a 5-2 advantage on two goals from Alex Acosta, one from Davis Bottomley and one from Thomas Dunnett.

From that point on, the two teams exchanged goals until the final whistle sounded and the Blues emerged victorious.

Rounding out the scoring for Toronto, Doucette and Bottomley both scored their second goals of the game, while Aidan Guld added the final tally.

UP NEXT: The Blues will head to London, Ont., on October 8 to take on the Western Mustangs.
