The No. 2 University of Toronto Varsity Blues field hockey team bested the No. 3 York Lions by a score of 2-0 at Toronto's Back Campus Fields on Wednesday, October 6.
HOW IT HAPPENED:Â A back-and-fourth first quarter saw Blues second-year forward, Sam McCrory, open the scoring off a penalty corner in the 11th minute.
That Blues lead would hold through both the second and third quarter before being doubled in the fourth through fourth-year forward Anna Costanzo's field goal.
Second-year goalie Deepi Gill earned the win in net for the Blues.
