HOW IT HAPPENED: The first half saw an early push from Nipissing, with the Lakers recording four shots on target within the first 11 minutes of match. The rest of the half saw both teams in a stalemate as neither side could break the deadlock.
The second half saw the momentum of the match shift in favour of the Varsity Blues. However, a strong defensive performance from the Lakers left the Blues with only two shots on net through the entire second half.
