The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's soccer team recorded their third win of the 2021 season with a 4-0 thrashing over the Laurentian Voyageurs on Sunday, October 17 at Varsity Stadium.
HOW IT HAPPENED:Â In a half dominated by the Blues, Toronto opened the scorning through first-year winger Anne Yeomans who combined with third-year midfielder Siena Porth to put the Blues ahead (26'). The Blues would go on to lead the Voyageurs 8-4 in shots for the half.
The Blues continued their dominance in the second half, leading the Voyageurs in shots 7-1 while netting three goals. The goal scoring started with first-year winger Hannah Harkin setting up Anne Yeomans for her second of the match (47'). Anne Yeomans would continue her goal involvement through the half assisting both Carissa Callaway (60') and Amelia Thompson (89') for the Blues third and fourth goals of the match.
Fifth-year goalkeeper Levanta Staggolis faced five shots in the contest, saving all five to secure her second clean sheet of the season.
