The University of Toronto women's hockey team defeated the York Lions 5-1 in exhibition play at York University on Saturday, October 16. 

HOW IT HAPPENED: Third-year forward Taylor Trussler scored her first of two goals nine seconds into the contest to give the Blues the early lead. Celine Frappier, Emma Potter, and Laura Ellis each had a goal to contribute to the victory.   

Rookie Olivia Hilton had two assists, while fifth-year goaltender Jessica Vance had nine stops for the Blues win.

UP NEXT: The Blues take on the Rams at Mattamay Athletic Centre on Friday, October 22 for their second exhibition contest.
