The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's soccer team recorded their second win of 2021 season with a 4-1 win over the Laurentian Voyageurs on Friday, October 15 in Sudbury.
HOW IT HAPPENED: The Voyageurs would open the scorning in the opening minute of play through first-year midfielder Océane La Via (1'). The Blues would respond with the first of two goals in the half through first-year winger Carissa Callaway (20'), while fellow first-year winger Hannah Harkin would give the Blues the lead just five minutes later (25').
The Blues hit their stride in the second half, placing five unanswered shots on the Voyageurs goal. Both Carissa Callaway and Hannah Harkin would leave Sudbury with a brace, recording their second goals of the match in the 73' and 85', respectively.
Fifth-year goalkeeper Levanta Staggolis faced two shots in the contest, saving one to secure the Blues their second win of the season.
