The No. 4 University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's volleyball team notched a 3-1 (25-21, 25-11, 21-25, 25-16) victory over the York Lions on Friday night (Feb. 7) at Tait McKenzie Centre.

TORONTO STATS: Second-year left side hitter Hope Kotun led all players with 15 points off of 12 kills, two blocks and one ace, while also notching 11 digs on the night.

Three other Blues hit double digits in the win. Fifth-year right side hitter Alina Dormann recorded 14.5 points off of 12 kills, two aces and an assisted block, while also recording a game-high 13 digs.

Fifth-year left Caleigh Cruickshank totaled 14 points off of 12 kills, one ace and one block, and also had nine digs. Veteran middle Anna Licht notched 10 points off of four kills, four blocks and two aces.

Sophomore setter Hayley Goodwin tallied 32 assists, 5.5 points and six digs in the win.

UP NEXT: The Blues are back in action this Sunday, February 9 as they host the Trent Excalibur at Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport. Opening serve is set for 3 p.m.
