Despite a dominant second half display, the University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's basketball team fell to an upsetting 84-82 defeat against the Lakehead Thunderwolves on Saturday evening (Feb. 1) at Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport.

TORONTO STATS: Evan Shadkami scored 19 points on the night, recording double digits for the 16
th time this season. Toronto's leading scorer was also the only Blues player to get a block during the game.

Somachi Agbapu, who dazzled the crowd with an emphatic slam dunk in the fourth, recorded his first double-double of the season, tallying 10 points and a season high 11 rebounds. Agbapu also had a season high three steals, once again playing a vital role on the Blues defensive end.

Fifth-year guard Chris Barrett was once again an offensive prowess, scoring 16 points and leading the team with five assists.

First-year guard Malik Pottinger played a key role off the bench, scoring a season-high 11 points, nine of which came from three-point range.

th to take on the Algoma Thunderbirds. Tip-off is set for 8:00 p.m.
