here. The games will also be streamed live on OUA.tv.
Â
U of T's Think Pink game is a part of the U SPORTS women's basketball fundraising initiative to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS). The Shoot for the Cure campaign has proven an overwhelming success since it was launched in the fall of 2007, with over $1.3 million in donations to date.
Â
With the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks debuting in their inaugural season, the initiative grows to 48 U SPORTS women's basketball programs taking part – marking the ninth straight year of full participation. A cheque will be presented to the CCS during the gold medal game of the 2020 U SPORTS Final 8 basketball championships, hosted jointly by Carleton University, the University of Ottawa and the Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group.
Â
Junior Blues gymnastics is set to perform at halftime of the women's game and are holding their annual bake sale in support of the cause on Saturday from 9am to 3:30pm at the Athletic Centre.
