The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's hockey team fell 1-0 to the York Lions in pre-season play on Sunday, September 29 at Canlan Ice Sports.

HOW IT HAPPENED: York's Courtney Gardiner scored the lone goal of the game 7:46 into the first period.

Blues netminder Madeline Albert made 25 saves in the loss.

UP NEXT: The Blues head to New Jersey to take on the Princeton Tigers next Saturday, October 5 at 2 p.m.
