First-year midfielder Jacob Doroszkiewicz scored all three goals to lead the No. 7 nationally ranked University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's soccer team to a 3-1 victory over the Trent Excalibur on Sunday, September 28 in Peterborough, Ont.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Trent struck first as Thomas Robinson found the back of the net in the 26th minute. The Blues responded quickly though as Doroszkiewicz netted the equalizer four minutes later. The two teams were tied at 1-1 at the half.
Doroszkiewicz netted the eventual game-winner in the 73rd minute and added an insurance marker six minutes later to round out the scoring.
Stefan Dusciuc made three saves in the win.
UP NEXT: The Blues are back in action next Saturday, October 5 as they travel to Sudbury, Ont., to take on the Laurentian Voyageurs. Game time is set for 2:15 p.m.
