The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's soccer team defeated the Ryerson Rams 1-0 on Sunday afternoon (Sept 22) in the battle of Toronto at Varsity Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED: The Blues found the back of the net first in the 13th minute when Valentina Greco buried a rebound. Each team would exchange scoring chances but Toronto would hold the lead going into the half.

Both teams were hungry to get a goal in the second half. The Rams took four shots in the half but all were stopped by fourth-year goalkeeper Levanta Staggolis.

UP NEXT: The Blues play their first of three consecutive road games next Saturday (Sept 28) when they rematch the Ryerson Rams.
