BLUES FALL TO DEFENDING CHAMPS

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's lacrosse team travelled to London on Friday night (Sept 20) to take on the CUFLA defending champion Western Mustangs. Toronto came away on the short end of a 14-2 score.

HOW IT HAPPENED: The Blues opened the scoring with a goal by Darren Elliott, assisted by fellow attack AJ Masson. The Mustangs answered with 14 straight goals.

Masson scored late for Toronto, assisted by Alex Emerson.

"Western dominated the draws giving them many more offensive possessions. We also had way too many turnovers, both forced and unforced. Macon Jeffreys played well in goal but the Western time of possession in our end was way too much to overcome" said Head Coach Joe Nizich.

UP NEXT: The Blues will look to even their record on Sunday, September 29 at 6:00 pm at Varsity Stadium against the McMaster Marauders.
