NO. 7 BLUES DOMINANT AGAINST VOYAGEURS

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's soccer team recorded a comfortable 1-0 victory over the Laurentian Voyageurs on Friday, September 20 at Varsity Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED: The Blues dominated in the early stages of the game as Gabriel Milo hit the crossbar 15 minutes into the first half. Atchu Sivananthan then deservedly put the Blues in front, rising up to head home Kenny Lioutas's free kick (23').

The Blues stayed composed in the second half as they fended off pressure by the Voyageurs to keep the score in favour of Toronto.

Jacob Doroszkievisz came close to doubling the lead on two occasions, hitting a shot narrowly wide of the post, and then shortly after, forcing a good save from Voyageurs goalkeeper Adam Scanlon.

The victory is Toronto's fifth win in six games, with the Blues still unbeaten this season.

UP NEXT: The Blues are back in action on Sunday (Sept 22) as they host the No. 5 Ryerson Rams at 3:15 p.m.
