Rookies Michael Chu and Daniel Foxcroft led the Varsity Blues men's tennis team to a 5-2 win over the Waterloo Warriors on Sunday (Sept. 15).
HOW IT HAPPENED: The rookies teamed up to take the doubles win at the No. 3 spot by an 8-4 score. This win gave the Toronto team the always-important doubles point and the lead going into singles. They each followed that up with singles wins. Michael won 7-5,6-3 at the No. 5 spot and Daniel 6-4,6-4 at the No. 6 spot.
Other winners in doubles and in singles were veterans Alec Luchak and Eric Cherniy.
UP NEXT: The Blues host the McMaster Marauders next Saturday, Sept 21 at noon at the UTSC tennis courts.
