The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's volleyball team topped the Queen's Gaels 3-0 (25-18, 25-12, 25-9) on Friday, November 8 at Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport.
TORONTO STATS: Fifth-year left side hitter Caleigh Cruickshank led all players with 11 points off of six kills, four blocks and one ace, while fellow veteran Alina Dormann had 10 points off of a game-high nine kills and one block.
The one-two punch of Jenna Woock and Anna Licht dominated in the middle. Woock racked up eight points off of five kills and three blocks, while Licht also had eight points off of two kills, two aces and four blocks.
Rookie setter Lidya Canturk tallied 15 assists and a team-high five digs in the win.
UP NEXT: The Blues host the RMC Paladins in their sixth annual OVA (Ontario Volleyball Association) Day this Sunday, November 10 at Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport. Opening serve is set for 1 p.m.
