Fifth-year right side hitter Alina Dormann led all players with 13.5 points as the No. 4 Varsity Blues women's volleyball team defeated the RMC Paladins 3-0 (25-13, 25-13, 25-14) on U of T's sixth annual OVA Day on Sunday, November 10 at Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport.
Toronto's fourth-consecutive straight sets victory improves them to 4-1 in the early goings of the OUA season.
TORONTO STATS: Dormann notched a game-high 12 kills, while adding 1.5 blocks and three digs on the day. Fellow fifth-year veteran Anna Licht recorded 8.5 points off of four kills, 2.5 blocks and two aces, while fourth-year left side hitters Natasha Lewis and Brianna Patrick each had six points.
Rookie setter Lidya Canturk tallied 24 assists and nine digs, while libero Sophia Currier had 14 digs in the win.
UP NEXT: The Blues travel to Hamilton, Ont., next Saturday, November 16 to take on the McMaster Marauders. Opening serve is set for 6 p.m.
