BLUES SECURE SEASON SWEEP OVER LAKERS

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's soccer team left North Bay with a 2-0 win over the Nipissing Lakers on Sunday, October 6 at the Nipissing University Soccer Field. 

HOW IT HAPPENED: The Blues got off to an early start as fifth-year defender Kenny Lioutas opened the Blues account (2'). The first half would feature a strong defensive effort from both sides as the two teams combined for just three shots.
 
The second half would Koosha Nazemi double the Blues lead on an unassisted goal (77').

Second-year goalkeeper, Sebastian Sgarbossa faced just three shots in the affair.

UP NEXT: The Blues are back in action Saturday (Oct. 12) at 3:15 p.m., when they host the RMC Paladins at Varsity Stadium.
