The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's soccer team blanked the RMC Paladins 6-0 on Saturday, October 12 at Varsity Stadium.
HOW IT HAPPENED: The Blues started things off early securing two goal in the first 10 minutes of play. Third-year midfielder Nick Osorio capped off a Blues counter-attack to open the scoring (5'). Fifth-year defender Koosha Nazemi and first-year midfielder Artem Tesker then combined to extend the Blues lead to two (9').
Nazemi would find the back of the net again in the 27
th minute, before fourth-year midfielder Josh Bowyer would extend the Blues lead to four (39').
The Blues added to that lead in the second half as Nicola Russo assisted Jacob Doroszkiewicz for their fifth goal of the game (62'). Fourth-year veteran Stefan Dusciuc would seal the deal in the 89th minute, scoring his first career goal.
Sebastian Sgarbossa made one save in the win.
