The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's hockey team were shutout 5-0 in a preseason friendly against the Princeton Tigers of the NCAA on Saturday afternoon (Oct 5) in Princeton, New Jersey.

HOW IT HAPPENED: The Blues and Tigers played strong defensive games through the first period, not letting the other team get one past their goaltender.

Princeton took over in the final 40 minutes scoring two goals in the second period and three in the third.

UP NEXT: The Blues continue their exhibition play when they are back at home next Friday (Oct 11) as they take on Ryerson at 7:00pm at Varsity Arena.
