Our Under Armour Game of the Week features the University of Toronto women's hockey team hosting the UOIT Ridgebacks in the Varsity Blues first-ever Pride Night Game this Thursday, January 10 at Varsity Arena at 7:00 p.m.

The first 100 fans will receive a free Varsity Blues toque and there will be chances to win great prizes throughout the entire night.

The Blues have been at the fore front in organizing the event to celebrate the LGBTQ2 community. There will be multiple organizations at the event, such as the Canadian Olympic Committee's One Team, You Can Play, U of T Positive Space and LGBTOUT, and lots of booths set up to generate awareness, share educational pieces and promote programming and resources available in the community and on campus.

The Blues started the New Year with a six-point weekend, including a 3-2 shootout victory over the OUA defending champion Western Mustangs.

The OUA women's hockey standings are currently a log jam. U of T (6-5-1-1) sits in eighth place, but are only two wins back of fifth. The last time the Blues faced off against the Ridgebacks (6-7-0-1), they dropped a 3-1 decision in Oshawa.
