The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's volleyball team defeated the Guelph Gryphons 3-1 (25-15, 21-25, 25-19, 25-16) on Saturday, January 12 at Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport.
TORONTO STATS: Fourth-year right side hitter Alina Dormann notched a season-high 22 points off of 20 kills, one ace and one block, and added six digs on the day. Sophomore standout Jenna Woock tallied 12.5 points off of eight kills, two aces and two blocks and had eight digs.
Fifth-year veteran Anna Feore recorded 11 points off of eight kills and three aces and amassed 19 digs, while Brianna Patrick had nine points and matched her career-high with 20 digs.
Rookie setter Hayley Goodwin tallied a season-high 46 assists and seven digs, with Anna Licht and Sophia Currier adding 11 and 13 digs, respectively, in the win.
UP NEXT: The Blues host the No. 6 Waterloo Warriors tomorrow (Jan. 13) in U of T's fifth annual OVA Day at Goldring Centre. Opening serve is set for 1 p.m.
