MEN’S TENNIS COMES UP SHORT VS CARABINS

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's tennis team fell 7-0 to the University of Montreal on Sunday afternoon at University of Toronto Scarborough Campus.

HOW IT HAPPENED: The match up was a repeat of the Canadian national championship finals held at the Rogers Cup last month. Highlights were the performances of Brett Stinson, who lost to Montreal's No. 1 player in three sets. Stinson was able to win the first set and barely lost the third, losing four games to the No ad scoring. Andrew Bourne-Kaponeridis also lost in three sets at the No. 2 position.   Stinson and Bournce-Kaponeridis teamed up to lose the No. 1 doubles by a close score of 8-6. Alex Bose had a closer match at the No. 5 position, losing in three sets by a close score of 7-5 in the third set. 

UP NEXT: The Blues host two matches next Sunday, September 30 in Carleton at 11 am and York  at 1:30 pm.
