Anthony Sousa scored two goals and added one assist to lead the University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's soccer team to a 5-1 win over the Nipissing Lakers on Sunday afternoon (Sept. 23) in North Bay, Ont.

HOW IT HAPPENED: Nipissing opened the scoring as Ryan Roy found the back of the net in the 26th minute and the home team held a 1-0 lead at the half. Koosha Nazemi got the Blues on the board with a goal assisted by Sousa in the 49th minute. The match remained deadlocked until the final 18 minutes, when the Blues poured it on. Sousa scored in the 72nd minute for what would stand as the game-winner. Jae Jin Lee notched his team-leading seventh goal of the season in the 83rd minute and Youself Helmey and Sousa scored again in the 88th and 90th minutes to round out the win. Sebastian Sgarbossa made five saves in the win.
UP NEXT:Â The Blues return home next Saturday, September 29 as they host the RMC Paladins at Varsity Stadium. The match is set to begin at 3:15Â p.m. Â
