MEN’S RUGBY DROPS SEASON OPENER AT BROCK

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's rugby team fell 50-0 to the Brock Badgers in their 2018 season opener on Sunday, September 2 in St. Catharines, Ont.

"With a very young team and seven first year students starting, we had a hard fought game against a large and physical Brock team," said first-year Varsity Blues head coach Brandon Kirkwood.

"The young side showed some flashes of excellence but ultimately Brock put together a stronger 80 minutes and came out with the win. First-year standouts for us were Dontae Williams and Todd Reesor. The boys are optimistic about improving their on-field performance this weekend against another physical side in RMC."

The Blues return to action this Sunday, September 9 as they take on the RMC Paladins at Varsity Stadium. Game time is set for 5 p.m.
