Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

SOUSA, BLUES CONTINUE IMPRESSIVE START AGAINST RIDGEBACKS

The No.10 University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's soccer team improved to 3-0 on the season with a 4-1 victory over the UOIT Ridgebacks on Wednesday, August 29 at Vaso's Field.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED: In the 38th minute, Anthony Sousa set up fourth-year striker Jae Jin Lee to open the scoring. Sousa followed it up finding the back of the net only 13 seconds later. It marked the third straight match, the second-year midfielder recorded a goal. The Ridgebacks cut deficit in the 59th minutes thanks to Jaycob Bond. Toronto stopped any sort of comeback when the captain Nikola Stakic recorded his second of the season on a penalty shot in the 64th minute. Lee also added his second of the match and third of season in the 88th minute.

UP NEXT: The Varsity Blues host their inner city rivals the No. 4 Ryerson Rams this Sunday, September 2nd at Varsity Stadium. Game time starts at 3:15 p.m.
