MEN’S TENNIS SET FOR CANADIAN UNIVERSITY CHAMPIONSHIPS

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's tennis team is vying for a national title as they head to the Aviva Centre, home of the Rogers Cup, this weekend (August 11-12).

Four men's and women's teams from across Canada qualified for the 10th annual event during the 2017-18 academic year.

Toronto's men return to the championships after a one-year hiatus after earning the OUA silver medal in 2017. U of T earned the national silver medal in 2016.

The Blues open the championships on Saturday morning, taking on the UNB Varsity Reds in semi-final action at 10:30 a.m. The Alberta Golden Bears and Montreal Carabins square off in the other semifinal, with the medal matches set for Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
